Construction of our model ships and boats:
All of our replicas are handcrafted by some of the best skilled and experienced
craftsmen. Each craft is built to a scale of the original ships and by
using the original plans and pictures and using the "plank on frame"
building method. The hull is joined by multi-pieces of dry thin wood glued
together. Inside the hull, we use high quality epoxy which helps the thin
wooden bars to bond close to one another and not split, crack or twist
even in variable climatic conditions.
Our tall model ships, model cruise model ships, yacht sailing model ships and
and model boats are completely build from scratch and are NOT built from kit. Each replica
comes with a stand for your display.
Always remember what to look for in your shopping. Wooden models that are made from
scratch increase in value, unlike ones that are mass produced (assembly line made). Basically,
"you get what you pay for".
Measurement:
Each vessel is built and measured in centimeters. However, the dimension throughout this
website are in inches.
Materials used:
Each model boat is built using the highest quality woods like rose wood, ebony, black wood,
mahogany, teak, oak, etc... All of the various woods are naturally seasoned and kiln dried before
use to make sure that the completed products withstand any climate and to keep any of the
museum quality ships and boats from warping.
Workmanship: See pictures of the incredible workmanship that is put into all of these
model ships and model boats.
We can finish your order of "out of stock" items in as early as four weeks. However, this
depends solely on what your wanting to order. It takes hundreds of man-hours to build one model
ship like the Wasa tall model ship , Sovereign of the Seas model cruise ship, H.M.S Victory model
tall ship, San Felipe model ship, titanic model cruise ship etc.. Our promise to you, is that we will
complete your "out of stock" item with customer first (priority) in mind. Again, the completion of
you "out of stock" order will depend on what you order. Note: Shipping will also play a part in the
timeliness of you receiving your order.
Packing:
Each model ship or boat is individual packed
in a carton box. A wooden frame is used to
protect most models ships and boat models from
breakage for if the box is accidentally tipped over,
dropped, etc... Boats and yachts model sailing ships
with simpler detail are packed with masts fold down.
