This HMS Diana wooden tall model
sailing ship is a handcrafted, museum

world's finest craftsmen.
The HMS Diana was a tpyical war
frigate in the Royal Navy during
Admiral Nelson's time. Launched in
1794, the HMS Diana was armed with
38-cannons, and was one of eight
frigates in her class. A versatilte ship,
used by the British Navy in many ways
during the Napoleonic wars, the Diana
became a seasoned war-vessel. In
1815, the HMS Diana was sold to the
Dutch navy, and in 1816, she was used
in a bombarding of the Algiers. She
was destroyed in an accident in
dry-dock on Jan 16, 1839.
